Many of us have heard of or shopped at a "Familty Dollar" store in small towns all over the country. They offer a wide variety of household merchandise, including pre-packaged food items, toys, clothes and other miscellaneous items. They are not an "everything a dollar" store but do offer all of their products at various economical price points.

Auxiliary members nailed it again: The Leprechaun Festival held March 11 at the school fed and entertained over 100 persons, according to Nancy Marks and Marcia Bieber, co chairs of the event. .
On March 2, 2017 the “Hog’em, Beat’em, Cheat’em Artisans of the Missouri River Valley” artists coop hosted a “Sip’N’Paint” event at the American Legion Club. Over 20 local artists and aspiring artists attended the watercolor painting class taught by Diane Johnson and Dawn Scoffield.
The Townsend Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Chamber Annual Meeting and Dinner on March 25 at Watson's Event Center with a March Madness Theme.
